Finance Department

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) supervises all aspects of the Finance Department.  All financial transactions relating to the revenues and disbursements of the Borough of Emerson are performed by the CFO.  All funds received are invested and/or disbursed in accordance with the annual budget.  The CFO performs the work involved in the negotiation of loans and the investment of funds, insures that Debt Service requirements are met, and obtains maximum earnings on moneys in custody.  The CFO continues to stay informed about State policies and procedures.  The CFO earns Continuing Education Credits in the required subject areas receiving 30 credits every two years by attending seminars to renew her license.

The Financial Assistant is responsible for payroll processing and billing for the traffic details for the off-duty police officers.  The Financial Assistant encumbers the accounts payable purchase orders.
