Full-Time Borough Clerk

Position Objectives:

The Borough of Emerson is seeking a full time Borough Clerk. Responsibilities include, though not limited to, all statutory duties pursuant to NJSA 40A:9-133 et seq., preparing council agendas and meeting minutes, drafting resolutions and ordinances, attending all meetings of the Governing Body, processing OPRA requests, issuing licenses/permits, administering elections, performing records management, updating the website and social media, and performing all other duties in accordance with laws as well as other duties as appropriate. The successful applicant shall be detail-oriented with excellent computer, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide outstanding customer service. Must have RMC Certificate with three years as a Municipal Clerk preferred.
